Fourth win in a row for LIM College
For the fourth consecutive year, LIM College has won the TAP Internet Advocate of the Year Award. This means that the College placed first among colleges in New York State who participated in the Invest in Me email campaign. Our students, faculty and staff sent a total of more than 21,000 emails in just three and a half weeks.
The emails sent will help many students at LIM College and throughout New York State by reminding legislators to protect the New York State Tuition Assistance (TAP) program.
A group of LIM College students, alumni, and staff also visited Albany March 1-2 and met with several New York State Senators and Assembly members and their staffers to voice strong opposition to proposed cuts to the TAP program and discuss how TAP has impacted students lives. LIM College junior Kristina Rodriguez and alumna Sahar Parirokh also spoke at a special rally in the States Legislative Office Building.
The Invest in Me email campaign will be active for the next month. To access it, visit www.apc-colleges.org and click on the Invest in Me graphic.
